Chocolate ganache cake
Ganache Cream Cake – Quick and Delicious Dessert
Are you looking for a simple and tasty recipe to impress your guests or just to indulge yourself? The ganache cream cake is the perfect choice. This recipe is not only easy to make but also full of flavor, thanks to the combination of fine chocolate and cream. The total preparation time is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes (including cooling time), and the recipe is enough for 4 servings.
Necessary ingredients:
- 10 ladyfingers
- 100 ml whipping cream
- 100 g dark chocolate (you can also use milk chocolate if you prefer a sweeter taste)
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1-2 drops of rum essence
- Cocoa syrup (or sugar syrup) to soak the ladyfingers
Step 1: Preparing the ingredients
Start by gathering all the necessary ingredients and make sure the chocolate is of good quality, as the final taste of the cream largely depends on it. Cut the chocolate into small pieces for easier melting.
Step 2: Preparing the ganache cream
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter together with the cream. It is essential not to let the mixture boil, as this can turn the cream into a paste with an unpleasant burnt taste. Once the butter has melted, add the chopped chocolate and rum essence. Remove the pan from the heat and stir vigorously until the chocolate is completely melted and you obtain a smooth and homogeneous cream.
Step 3: Cooling the cream
Transfer the ganache cream to a bowl and let it cool to room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator for about 2 hours. This step is crucial, as the cream needs to firm up to be spreadable on the ladyfingers.
Step 4: Assembling the cake
After the cream has firmed up, prepare a platter and soak the ladyfingers in cocoa syrup. Take two ladyfingers and generously spread ganache cream on them, then add two more ladyfingers on top and repeat the process. You can create as many layers as you like, depending on your preferences.
Step 5: Decorating and serving
After you have finished assembling the cake, you can decorate it with leftover ganache cream or grated chocolate. Let the cake rest in the refrigerator for another 30 minutes before serving. It is delicious to serve it with a glass of sweet wine or a fragrant coffee.
Personal note: Experiment with different flavors by adding a pinch of cinnamon to the ganache cream or even a little vanilla essence. You can also use cocoa cookies instead of ladyfingers for a different texture and taste.
This ganache cream cake is a true delight, perfect for special occasions or just to indulge yourself. Don't forget to enjoy the cooking process and share the result with your loved ones!
