Coconut cookies
Ingredients: -150 g coconut flakes (about 2 cups) -2 eggs -100 g sugar (1/2 cup) vanilla
To prepare these delicious balls, we start by gathering all the necessary ingredients. Make sure you have fresh and quality ingredients available to achieve a result that meets expectations. It is essential to have a large bowl on hand, in which you can easily mix all the components.
First, take a generous bowl and add the dry ingredients, such as flour, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix them well with a spatula or a wooden spoon to ensure they are evenly distributed. If you want a more intense flavor, you can also add flavors like vanilla or cinnamon.
Separately, in another bowl, you can combine the wet ingredients, such as eggs, oil or melted butter, and milk. Mix well until the mixture becomes homogeneous. It is important that the ingredients are at room temperature for easier incorporation. Once you have obtained a uniform mixture, pour it over the dry ingredients and start mixing gently.
After you obtain a soft but slightly sticky dough, start shaping the balls the size of a walnut. You can use dampened hands to prevent the dough from sticking to your palms. Place the balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, making sure to leave enough space between them to allow for expansion during baking.
Preheat the oven to a medium temperature, around 180 degrees Celsius. When the oven is ready, place the tray inside and let the balls bake for about 15-20 minutes. You will know they are ready when they turn golden and brown nicely at the edges.
After you take them out of the oven, let them cool slightly on a rack. These balls are perfect to be enjoyed both warm and at room temperature. You can serve them plain or decorate them with a chocolate glaze or a sprinkle of powdered sugar for a more attractive appearance. They will surely be a delight for the whole family or your guests, becoming a favorite snack!
