Start this culinary adventure by preheating the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (thermostat 7, medium heat). Choose a round or square baking dish, depending on your preference, and generously grease it with butter, ensuring that every corner is well covered. This step is crucial to prevent the dough from sticking. Once the dish is prepared, spread the dough evenly in it, making sure to reach all corners. Use a fork to prick the dough, which will help avoid air bubbles forming during baking. Place the dish in the preheated oven and let the dough bake for 10 minutes, until it becomes lightly golden.

Meanwhile, let’s focus on the delicious chocolate filling. In a saucepan, add the chocolate cut into small pieces along with the 3 tablespoons of water. Place the saucepan over low heat and stir constantly until the chocolate melts completely and becomes a smooth mixture. Once the chocolate has melted, add the sugar, cubed butter, and sifted flour, mixing with a spatula until the mixture is homogeneous and lump-free. It is important to work quickly, so don’t hesitate! Once the mixture is uniform, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool slightly. Then, add the egg yolks one at a time, mixing vigorously to incorporate each yolk before adding the next.

Another essential step is beating the egg whites. Use an electric mixer or a whisk, depending on your preference, and beat the egg whites until you achieve a firm foam. This will provide a light and fluffy texture to the final dish. Once the chocolate mixture has cooled slightly, carefully fold in the egg whites using a spatula and folding motions to avoid losing the air from the egg whites.

After the dough has been removed from the oven, it is time to carefully pour the chocolate mixture over it and spread it evenly. Place the dish back in the oven and bake at the same temperature for about 25 minutes or until the filling becomes firm but with a slightly moist texture inside. When the baking time has expired, remove the dish from the oven and let the dessert cool completely in the dish. Once cooled, cut into portions and enjoy each rich and decadent piece that will delight the taste buds of everyone who tries it.
