Today I prepared some delicious oven-baked chicken thighs, thinking about pleasing the whole family with a recipe that combines authentic taste with refined flavors. The first step was choosing the chicken thighs, which I carefully cleaned, removing the skin and the bone from the lower part of the thigh. I carefully dislocated the bone, then cut the thigh in two at the joint, thus creating two perfect portions for stuffing.

After seasoning the thighs with a bit of salt, I started preparing the stuffing. This is a flavorful mixture that adds extra taste to the final dish. I used a fresh chicken liver, which I chopped finely. I boiled an egg, grated it, and added a bit of greenery - freshly chopped parsley. I soaked half a slice of bread in milk, then squeezed it well to achieve the perfect consistency. I seasoned the stuffing with salt and pepper, mixing everything carefully to combine the flavors.

After the stuffing was prepared, I returned to the deboned thighs. I filled the thighs with the obtained mixture, making sure to place it evenly, covering the spot where I removed the bone. To add extra flavor, I wrapped the top of the thighs with strips of smoked bacon and pieces of garlic, which I lightly salted. I placed the thighs on a greased lid with great patience, ensuring they were facing up.

I placed the lid over a pot in which I poured water, making sure that the moisture would keep the meat tender during baking. At the bottom of the thighs, I added a wider strip of bacon, which I secured with toothpicks, ensuring it wouldn’t come off during cooking. On top, I added two more strips of bacon, fixed in the same way with toothpicks.

To complete the dish, I also added a few whole garlic cloves and some thin slices of bacon to the tray to intensify the aroma. I put everything in the oven, letting it bake over medium heat until the meat became tender and juicy.

In the end, I served the thighs with a garlic sauce mixed with sour cream, alongside crispy fried potatoes, thus creating an unforgettable feast for the whole family. This recipe not only satisfies the taste buds but also brings a touch of warmth to the hearts of loved ones.

Ingredients: chicken thighs, smoked bacon cut into longer pieces for stuffing, wider strips of bacon that we will use as a lid for the stuffed drumsticks, garlic for stuffing cut into strips, butter for greasing the lid. For the stuffing used for the drumsticks: 1 piece of raw chicken liver, 1 boiled egg, 1/2 slice of bread, chopped fresh parsley, salt, pepper.
