Thai Food
To prepare a delicious meat and vegetable dish, we start by choosing the meat. You can use chicken, pork, or beef, depending on your preferences. Cut the meat into cubes of about 2 cm to ensure even cooking. In a large skillet, heat a few tablespoons of oil, preferably sunflower or olive oil, over medium heat. Add the meat cubes and sauté, stirring frequently, until they become golden on all sides. At this point, season with salt, pepper, and add soy sauce for a savory taste and a unique aroma.
While the meat is cooking, prepare the vegetables. Start with the onion, which you chop finely, then add it over the meat. The onion will give a special flavor to the dish. Continue with green onions, sliced into rounds, and leeks, which will add a sweet note. The next step is to add the mushrooms, sliced, which will provide a pleasant texture. Carrots, peeled and diced, and cabbage, cut into thin strips, complete the mixture. As soon as all the vegetables are added, season with salt, pepper, and curry to enhance the flavors. Mix all the ingredients well and let them sauté together for a few minutes until the vegetables become slightly soft but still retain a crunchy texture.
Meanwhile, prepare the rice. Wash the rice under cold running water to remove the starch, then add it to a pot of boiling water. Boil for 10-12 minutes, being careful not to overcook it; ideally, it should remain slightly al dente to combine perfectly with the other ingredients. After the rice is ready, drain it and add it to the skillet, mixing it with the meat and vegetables. Let everything cook together for a few minutes so that all the flavors blend.
Finally, you can adjust the seasonings to taste, adding, if desired, a little soy sauce or a splash of sesame oil for an extra flavor boost. Serve the dish hot, garnished with a few finely chopped green onion tops for an attractive appearance. Enjoy your meal!
