Fish in the Oven
To prepare a delicious baked fish recipe, we will start by ensuring we have all the necessary ingredients at hand. Choose fresh fish fillets, such as cod, salmon, or sea bream, which are ideal for this cooking method. In a bowl, add salt and pepper, then rub the fillets well with this mixture, making sure they are evenly seasoned.
Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables: slice the bell pepper into thin strips, the tomatoes into rounds, and the onion into rings, so you have a nice and appealing presentation. These vegetables will not only add flavor to the dish but will also spread a wonderful aroma during baking.
On a sheet of baking paper or aluminum foil, place some slices of onion and bell pepper. These will form a bed on which we will place the fish fillets, helping them not to stick to the foil and to cook evenly. Place the fish fillets on top of the vegetables, and then add a few more slices of onion and bell pepper on top for extra flavor.
To finish the preparation, drizzle everything with a little olive oil, which will help the vegetables and fish cook beautifully and remain juicy. Don’t forget to add some herbs, such as dill or parsley, to further enhance the flavor. Carefully wrap the baking paper or aluminum foil, making sure it is well sealed to keep the steam inside.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the packet of fish and vegetables inside. Leave in the oven for 20-25 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The fish is ready when it becomes opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
To complement this delicious dish, we recommend serving the fish with boiled potatoes. Boil the potatoes until tender, then add a little butter and salt, mixing well. This combination of fish and potatoes is not only tasty but also filling. Enjoy this simple yet refined dish with your loved ones. Bon appétit!
