To prepare a delicious homemade chocolate, start by gathering all the necessary ingredients and ensuring you have the right utensils at hand. You will need a medium-sized pot, a wooden or silicone spatula for mixing, and a tray to place in the fridge, which can be covered with plastic wrap or baking paper.

The first step in this process is to boil the water together with the sugar. Choose an amount of 200 ml of water and 150 g of sugar. Put the mixture over medium heat and let it boil for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. This step is crucial for obtaining a sweet and consistent base that will give texture to your chocolate.

After the mixture has boiled, carefully add the vanilla sugar, about a teaspoon, and mix well until completely dissolved. Its aroma will enrich the taste of the chocolate, giving it an extra flavor. As soon as the vanilla sugar has melted, you can add 100 g of butter. Let the butter melt completely, stirring occasionally to ensure uniformity of the composition.

The next step is to integrate the powdered milk, about 250 g, into the mixture of water, sugar, and butter. Add it gradually, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Once the powdered milk is incorporated, it's time to add your favorite fruits, such as 100 g of finely chopped dates. These will add a natural sweetness and a pleasant texture to the chocolate.

When all the ingredients are well mixed and homogeneous, add 50 g of cocoa powder. Mix again, ensuring that the cocoa is completely integrated into the composition. The color and aroma of the chocolate will intensify, and the mixture will acquire a creamy and rich consistency.

After obtaining a uniform composition, pour the mixture into a previously prepared tray. You can level it with the spatula to achieve an even surface. To give it a decorative appearance and extra taste, sprinkle coconut flakes or chopped almonds on top, depending on the fruits used.

Let the chocolate cool at room temperature, then place it in the fridge for a few hours, ideally overnight, to harden perfectly. Once it has cooled well, cut the chocolate into cubes or desired shapes and enjoy this homemade delicacy with your loved ones. The treat is ready to be savored!
