To prepare a delicious cheese and cold cuts bread pudding recipe, we start by preparing the necessary ingredients. Therefore, we will need a few slices of white or whole grain bread, which will be soaked in warm milk. This step is essential to achieve a soft and fluffy texture, which will make the pudding savory.

Now, let’s take care of the cheese. We will use grated cheese, which will add a rich flavor and a delicious taste, but also crumbled telemea or feta cheese, which will provide a salty contrast. These cheeses can combine very well with various cold cuts, so we will chop some salami, sausages, and pressed ham into cubes, all adding extra flavor and consistency to our dish.

In a large bowl, we will mix the bread slices soaked in milk with the grated cheeses and chopped cold cuts, making sure that all the ingredients are evenly distributed. Then, we will crack a few fresh eggs and whisk them, to incorporate them into our mixture. The eggs will act as a binder, holding all the ingredients together and providing an airy texture.

To add an extra flavor and a touch of freshness, we can add pitted olives, sliced or whole, depending on preferences. The olives will balance the flavors and add a Mediterranean note to this dish.

After we have mixed all the ingredients well, we will pour the obtained mixture into a greased baking dish with butter or oil, ensuring that we have an even distribution. We preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the pudding dish inside. We let it bake for about 30 minutes, until the surface becomes golden and appetizing, and the aroma spreads throughout the kitchen.

After it has been taken out of the oven, we let the pudding cool slightly before cutting it into portions. This cheese and cold cuts bread pudding is perfect both warm and cold, being ideal for a family dinner or a festive meal. Enjoy your meal!
