Doughnuts
To prepare the most delicious fluffy donuts, we start by setting the bread maker to the dough setting. It will mix the ingredients and knead the dough, ensuring that all components combine perfectly. It is important to use quality ingredients, such as flour, fresh yeast, sugar, salt, milk, and butter, to achieve an excellent final result. After the machine has completed the kneading cycle and the dough has risen properly, carefully remove it from the machine's container, taking care not to affect it too much.
On a clean surface, sprinkle a little flour and roll out the dough with a rolling pin, ensuring it is not too thin, but about 1-2 cm thick. With a glass or a round cutter, cut circles from the dough, making sure the edges are well pressed to avoid filling leaks. You can use a larger glass for bigger donuts or a smaller one, depending on your preferences. After cutting all the circles, place them on a greased tray with oil or butter, leaving enough space between them to rise. Cover the tray with a clean cloth and let the donuts rise for about half an hour. This time will allow them to grow and become fluffy.
While the donuts are rising, prepare the pan with oil. Choose a quality oil, such as sunflower or peanut oil, which can withstand high temperatures without burning. Heat the oil on low heat, being careful not to make it too hot; otherwise, the donuts will brown too quickly on the outside, leaving them raw on the inside. Test the oil temperature by adding a small piece of dough; if it rises to the surface and starts to brown, the oil is ready for frying.
When the donuts have risen enough, carefully fry them in the hot oil. Place 2-3 donuts at a time, depending on the size of the pan, and let them brown on each side for about 2-3 minutes until golden. Once they are ready, remove them with a spatula and place them on an absorbent paper towel to remove excess oil. Now they are ready to be served! You can dust them with powdered sugar, fill them with jam or chocolate cream, or simply enjoy their delicate aroma. Fresh donuts are perfect for breakfast or as a sweet snack at any time of the day. Enjoy them with pleasure!
