We start by washing the chicken thighs well under a stream of cold water, making sure to remove any impurities. Then, in a deep pan, we heat a little oil, enough to cover the bottom of the pan. We place the thighs in the pan, taking care to arrange them evenly. We sprinkle salt on top, which will help intensify the flavor, and add a generous handful of freshly chopped parsley for a special aroma. After placing the thighs, we add a cup of water, allowing the meat to slowly soften through steaming. It is important to check the water level from time to time and, if necessary, to add a little water to avoid burning the meat. When the thighs are cooked and juicy, at the end, we let them brown a little to get a tasty crust.

Meanwhile, we take care of the garnish of kohlrabi and carrots. We peel the kohlrabi, removing the skin, then we grate them, obtaining fine strips that will cook quickly. We do the same with the carrots, grating them carefully. In a bowl, we mix the grated kohlrabi with the grated carrots, adding salt and pepper to taste, to enhance the flavors.

In a pot, we heat a little oil and add the kohlrabi and carrot mixture. We pour in enough water to cover the vegetables, then cover the pot with a lid and let it simmer on low heat for about 40 minutes. It is essential to check from time to time, adding water if necessary, so that the vegetables do not stick to the bottom of the pot.

After the kohlrabi and carrots have boiled and softened well, we prepare a mixture of flour and milk, which we dissolve thoroughly to avoid lumps. This mixture is then poured over the boiled vegetables, allowing everything to simmer on low heat for another 10 minutes. This step will thicken the sauce and add a creamy texture to the dish. Finally, we add the finely chopped dill, which will bring a fresh aroma, and the two tablespoons of sour cream, which will complete the dish with a touch of finesse. We mix everything carefully and let the flavors combine for a few minutes, after which we can serve this delicious dish alongside the browned chicken thighs. A meal that will bring joy and satisfaction to our loved ones!
