Moussaka is a delicious dish, appreciated in many cultures, and the recipe we will detail today will bring a touch of flavor to your table. Start by peeling the potatoes; make sure to remove all the skin and impurities. After peeling, wash them well under a stream of cold water, then slice them into round pieces, ensuring the thickness is about one centimeter. These slices will be placed in a bowl, where you will sprinkle them with a little salt and set them aside for a few minutes to soften slightly.

Meanwhile, prepare the meat mixture. In a pot, add the oil and heat it over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the minced meat. It is important to constantly stir the meat to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Let the meat cook until it changes color and becomes browned. Once the meat is browned, season with vegeta (delikat) and freshly ground pepper, allowing the mixture to cook for a few more minutes before setting it aside.

In another pan, slice some sausages thinly and sauté them. When they are slightly browned, add the chopped green onion, leaving everything on the heat for a few moments to combine the flavors. Once the sausage mixture is ready, pour it over the browned meat, add the beaten eggs and chopped dill, reserving a little dill for the final decoration.

Now, it is time to assemble the moussaka. Take a baking dish and grease it with a little oil to prevent sticking. Arrange half of the potato slices neatly, including on the edges. Over this layer, pour the meat and sausage mixture, then cover everything with the remaining potato slices, arranging them nicely for an aesthetic appearance. Slice the tomatoes thinly and place them on top of the potato layer. Alternatively, you can use grated cheese or a mixture of beaten eggs with tomato paste for a delicious taste and texture.

Preheat the oven to the recommended temperature and place the dish inside. Let the moussaka bake until it is nicely browned, and the baking time may vary depending on your oven. When the dish is ready, take it out of the oven and sprinkle chopped dill on top for an extra touch of freshness and an appealing look. Serve the moussaka hot, alongside a fresh salad or a yogurt sauce, to perfectly complement this savory main dish. Enjoy your meal!
