Turkey Breast in Beer Sauce
To prepare a delicious baked meat recipe, we start by finely chopping the onion and garlic. These ingredients are essential to provide a rich and aromatic flavor to our dish. After chopping them, we put them in a pan with a little oil and sauté them over low heat, stirring constantly to avoid burning. It is important to let them soften and release their flavors, which will contribute to a tasty final dish.
Meanwhile, we take care of the meat. We wash it well under cold running water and cut it into 5-6 larger pieces, so that it remains juicy during baking. Choosing the right meat is crucial; I recommend pork or beef, but other types can also be used, depending on preferences. Once we have prepared the meat, we add it to a baking dish. On top, we pour oils – olive oil and sunflower oil – to coat the pieces of meat well. This will help create a delicious crust during baking.
After coating the meat with the oils, we gradually add the sautéed onion, garlic, and the rest of the spices. The spices can include salt, pepper, paprika, or herbs, depending on the desired taste. Now, it's time to take care of the green olives. They are finely chopped and evenly sprinkled over the meat, bringing a touch of flavor and a pleasant contrast with the other ingredients.
To add a special flavor, we pour 0.5 liters of blonde beer over the meat. This will not only help tenderize the meat but also create a delicious sauce. After adding the beer, we cover the dish with aluminum foil or a lid to retain moisture. We let the dish sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.
Then, we place the dish in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 2 hours. It is important to check the meat from time to time, basting it with the juice formed and turning it after an hour in the oven. After the first hour, we add the remaining 0.5 liters of beer, ensuring that each piece of meat is well soaked and flavored.
In the last 30 minutes, we can remove the aluminum foil to allow the meat to brown nicely. Finally, when the meat is tender and well-cooked, we take it out of the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. We place the portions on plates and can garnish them with fresh herbs.
Enjoy your meal! This recipe will surely become a favorite among family and friends.
