To prepare this delicious main dish with potatoes and salmon, start by boiling the potatoes. Choose medium-sized potatoes that cook evenly and have a pleasant texture. Boil them in salted water for about 15-20 minutes, until they are almost done but not completely cooked through. The goal is to keep them firm enough to bake later. After boiling, drain them well and transfer them to a ceramic or metal baking dish that will allow for even browning.

In a separate bowl, melt about 50 grams of butter. Add the freshly squeezed juice of a medium lemon, which will add a note of freshness and a tangy flavor. Sprinkle finely chopped fresh dill and season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Use a spoon to mix the ingredients well, ensuring the dill is evenly distributed throughout the mixture. Using a kitchen brush, coat each potato with this flavorful mixture, making sure they are well covered and absorb all the flavors.

Once you have prepared the potatoes, place them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 5 minutes. These few minutes will help lightly brown the potatoes, giving them a crispy crust. In the meantime, prepare the salmon. Choose fresh salmon fillets that are rich in omega-3 and very tasty. Season them on both sides with salt and pepper to highlight the natural flavor of the fish.

For an extra burst of flavor, wrap each salmon fillet in thin slices of prosciutto. This combination will add a crunchy texture and a salty taste, perfectly balanced with the juicy salmon. After the potatoes have spent their 5 minutes in the oven, remove them and place the salmon fillets on top. Put everything back in the oven and let it bake for 15-20 minutes. You will notice how the prosciutto turns golden and crispy, while the salmon cooks evenly, becoming soft and delicate.

If dill is not to your liking, feel free to experiment with other herbs. Fresh basil or tarragon are excellent alternatives that pair wonderfully with fish and add an extra layer of flavor to the dish. In the end, enjoy this delight alongside a fresh salad or grilled vegetables for a perfect lunch or dinner.
