Bread with Beer

 Ingredients: - 350 g flour - 2 tablespoons honey - 375 ml beer - 1 teaspoon salt - 1 teaspoon baking powder - 1 teaspoon baking soda - 20 g melted butter

To prepare a delicious and fragrant bread, start by gathering all the necessary ingredients. You will need 250 g of flour, 10 g of baking powder, 5 g of baking soda, 150 ml of honey, and 300 ml of beer. It is important to use a beer that you like, as its flavor will influence the final taste of the bread.

In a large bowl, sift the flour along with the baking powder and baking soda. This step is essential to avoid lumps in the mixture. Once the dry ingredients are well mixed, add the honey. It is recommended to use natural bee honey, which will add a pleasant sweetness and a soft texture to your bread.

After adding the honey, gradually pour the beer into the bowl, stirring gently with a spatula or a wooden spoon. Do not mix too much; the goal is to achieve a homogeneous mixture while keeping air in the dough. Once the ingredients are well incorporated, take a 20 x 10 cm baking tray, which you can grease with oil and flour to prevent sticking, or more simply, you can use baking paper.

Carefully pour the mixture into the tray, ensuring it is evenly leveled. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius and place the tray in the oven. Let the bread bake for about 40 minutes or until it becomes nicely browned. You can check if it is baked by using the toothpick test: if the toothpick comes out clean, the bread is ready.

After removing the tray from the oven, melt 30 g of butter and, using a brush, apply the warm butter on top of the bread. This will add a rich flavor and a delicious crust. Put the tray back in the oven for another 3 minutes so that the butter absorbs well into the bread.

Once the time is up, take the bread out of the oven and let it cool on a wire rack. It is essential to wait for it to cool slightly before slicing, so that each slice is perfect. Once it has cooled down, you can serve this delight alongside jams, butter, or simply on its own, to enjoy its unique flavor. This bread is perfect for breakfast or as a snack between meals.
