Are you looking for a simple and quick recipe for a delicious appetizer that will impress your guests? I invite you to try this avocado and sautéed mushroom appetizer, a savory combination that will bring a touch of freshness and a refined taste to any meal!
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 150 g of finely chopped champignon mushrooms
- 100 g of ham (preferably prosciutto or jambon), diced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Balsamic vinegar (optional, for serving)
- Fresh parsley leaves for garnish
Preparation:
1. Start by preparing the ingredients. Make sure the avocado is ripe, meaning it feels slightly soft to the touch but not overly so. It will have a creamy texture that will blend perfectly with the other ingredients.
2. In a medium pan, add the olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and let it sauté for 2-3 minutes until it becomes translucent.
3. Add the chopped mushrooms to the pan and continue to cook, stirring frequently, for 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms release their water and begin to brown. Finally, add the diced ham and let it cook for another 2 minutes to combine the flavors. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Meanwhile, cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Use a spoon to scoop the flesh out of the skin, being careful not to mash it. Cut the avocado flesh into small cubes.
5. In a bowl, combine the avocado cubes with the mushroom and ham mixture. Gently mix to avoid mashing the avocado, but enough to allow the flavors to meld.
6. Place the avocado and mushroom mixture back into the avocado skins, filling each half. If desired, drizzle with a little balsamic vinegar for an extra touch of acidity that will balance the rich flavor of the dish.
7. For an attractive garnish, sprinkle fresh parsley leaves on top of the appetizer. This detail not only adds a touch of freshness but also a pleasant color contrast.
