To prepare a delicious mushroom pâté with nuts, the first step is to take care of the main ingredients. Start by cleaning the mushrooms, removing any impurities with a damp cloth. Once they are clean, slice or chop them according to your preferences. Then, finely chop the onion; this will add a pleasant aroma and savory taste to the final dish.

In a pan, heat a little oil, enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Add the chopped onion and sprinkle a little salt; this will help soften it. Let the onion sauté on low heat, covering the pan with a lid to seal in the flavors. After a few minutes, add the mushrooms, continuing to cook them together with the onion. Let them cook on low heat until the liquid evaporates completely, and the mushrooms and onion become tender and slightly browned. This process will take about 15-20 minutes.

After the mixture has cooled slightly, transfer it to a food processor. Add the roasted nuts to achieve a creamy texture and rich flavor. Blend everything until you get a smooth and homogeneous paste. At this point, add the soft butter and continue blending to incorporate it well into the mixture. If you want the pâté to be softer and creamier, gradually add whole milk or fresh cream, one tablespoon at a time, continuously blending until you reach the desired consistency.

Now, add the spices: marjoram, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well to ensure an even distribution of flavors. Once the mixture is ready, transfer it to a bowl. You can decorate the pâté with a few whole nuts that you set aside or with thin slices of mushroom if you want to give it a more attractive appearance. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it chill for at least 30 minutes to firm up a bit and allow the flavors to develop.
