Chocolate tart
The tart is a classic dessert, easy to prepare, meant to get you out of trouble when you have uninvited guests. Thanks to the crispy tart crust and chocolate filling, it will provide the necessary energy boost on a rainy day. This recipe not only impresses with its appearance but also with its rich taste and delicate texture.
To start, prepare the necessary ingredients for the tart dough. You will need 250 g of flour, 125 g of cold butter cut into cubes, 70 g of powdered sugar, one egg, and a pinch of salt. In a large bowl, combine the flour with the salt and powdered sugar. Add the cold butter and, using your fingers, rub it into the flour until you achieve a consistency similar to sand. Add the egg and mix until the dough becomes homogeneous. Form a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, you can prepare the chocolate filling. You need 200 g of dark chocolate, 100 ml of heavy cream, 2 eggs, and 50 g of sugar. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until just about to boil, then add the broken chocolate pieces. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture becomes homogeneous. Let it cool slightly, then incorporate the eggs and sugar, stirring continuously until you obtain a smooth filling.
Once the dough has rested in the refrigerator, roll it out on a floured surface until you achieve a sheet about 3 mm thick. Place the dough in a tart pan and trim the excess dough from the edges. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent air bubbles from forming. Bake the dough at 180°C for 15-20 minutes, or until it turns lightly golden. Once baked, let it cool completely.
Once the tart crust and filling are ready, pour the chocolate filling into the crust. Level the surface with a spatula and bake the tart at 160°C for 25-30 minutes, until the filling sets. Let the tart cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
For an extra touch of refinement, you can decorate the tart with chocolate shavings or fresh fruits like raspberries or orange slices. Your tart is now ready to be enjoyed! Whether you serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce, it will surely be a hit among guests. Savor each slice and enjoy the moments spent together!
First, prepare the tart dough: mix the flour with the butter, add the egg, sugar, and salt. The obtained dough is wrapped in plastic film and left in the refrigerator for half an hour. Then roll out a sheet and place it in the tart pan, prick it with a fork, place beans over the dough to prevent it from rising, and then bake it for 15-20 minutes at medium heat. Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate cream: heat the milk and cream, add the chocolate, and bring it to a boil. Remove from heat and add the eggs that have been beaten separately. It is preferable to pour the milk and chocolate mixture over the eggs gradually, to avoid curdling the eggs. Pour over the tart and bake for another 15 minutes. Whip the egg whites with sugar and spread the resulting meringue over the tart, leaving it in the oven at very low heat until the meringue hardens. The chocolate mixture should not be too solid; it should have the consistency of a cream. The delicious chocolate tart is served after it has cooled, garnished with chocolate flakes or fresh seasonal fruits.
