To prepare this delicious recipe, we start by gathering all the necessary ingredients, making sure we have heavy cream, high-quality white chocolate, orange liqueur, and of course, fresh oranges to dry. In a saucepan, we pour in the heavy cream and heat it over low heat, being careful not to let it reach boiling point, just to warm it up. Meanwhile, we take the white chocolate and cut it into small pieces for easier melting. Once the cream is warm, we add the broken white chocolate and stir constantly until it completely melts, resulting in a creamy and homogeneous mixture.

At this point, we prepare the orange liqueur, measuring it carefully. We also zest an orange, being careful to avoid the white part, which is bitter. When the chocolate is melted, we add the liqueur and the grated orange zest to the white chocolate mixture, mixing them well to combine the flavors. Once everything is homogenized, we transfer the mixture to a bowl, cover it, and let it chill in the refrigerator until it thickens, becoming firm enough to be shaped. It is ideal to leave it overnight to achieve the perfect texture.

Once the chocolate has thickened, we start to caramelize the sugar. In a pan, we put the sugar over medium heat, stirring it gently until it melts and turns a dark golden color, similar to cognac. When the sugar reaches this point, we take it off the heat and pour it onto a tray that we have greased with a little oil to prevent sticking. We let the caramel cool, and after it hardens, we break it into fine pieces.

Now, we return to the white chocolate. With a teaspoon, we take portions of the chocolate mixture and shape small balls, rolling them in the caramelized sugar, ensuring they are well coated. We place these delicious balls in pre-prepared cases and let them chill again in the refrigerator until serving time.

For a special presentation, we can choose to serve these chocolate balls on slices of dried oranges, which will add a note of freshness and a pleasant contrast of textures. This combination of flavors and colors will surely impress the guests, turning each serving into a little culinary gem. Enjoy!
