Omelette Sandwich in the Waffle Maker

We start the culinary adventure with a waffle maker that we will heat for a few minutes. It is essential that it is well heated to achieve a perfect omelette with a soft texture and an appetizing appearance. In the meantime, we crack a fresh egg into a bowl and beat it with a fork or whisk until it becomes a smooth mixture. We add a tablespoon of milk, which will give a richer flavor and a fluffier consistency. Let’s not forget to salt and pepper the mixture to enhance the taste.

Now we prepare the filling ingredients. We cut thin slices of ham, choosing a quality option that perfectly complements the flavors. We also peel a ripe avocado and cut it into fine slices to add a creamy and healthy touch to our dish. These ingredients will bring a pleasant contrast of textures and flavors.

Once the waffle maker is hot, we add a little oil to the cooking plates to prevent the omelette from sticking. We pour the beaten egg mixture into the two compartments of the machine, being careful not to overfill, so it doesn’t spill. We close the lid and let it cook for about 2 minutes or until the omelettes are golden and evenly cooked.

After they are cooked, we carefully remove the first omelette onto a plate, and on top of it, we place the slices of ham. Next, we add the second omelette, thus creating a delicious sandwich. We sprinkle a generous layer of grated cheese on top, which will melt slightly due to the heat, adding extra flavor. The avocado slices are beautifully arranged on top, adding a note of freshness and a colorful appearance.

This dish can be enjoyed with a slice of toasted bread on the side, but it is just as tasty and simple without a garnish. It is ideal for a hearty breakfast or can be served for lunch alongside a portion of crispy fries and a fresh salad. If you want a more uniform appearance for the sandwich, you can place more egg mixture on one side of the machine, so that the bottom part is full while the top will form an attractive grid. Thus, we enjoy a delicious and visually appealing dish that will delight both the eyes and the taste buds!

Ingredients: For a sandwich: 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of milk, salt and pepper to taste, a little oil to grease the waffle maker, 2 thin slices of smoked ham, a few strands of grated mozzarella, 3 slices of avocado.
