Potatoes are one of the most versatile and beloved vegetables, and when combined with sausages, the result is a savory and comforting dish. We start by peeling the potatoes, choosing the most suitable ones for this recipe. It is recommended to use 'floury' potatoes, as they will cook evenly and absorb the flavors from the tray. After peeling, we cut them in a rustic, 'country style', meaning into large pieces of about 4-5 centimeters, so they remain juicy and do not crumble during baking.

The next step is to portion the sausages. Choose quality sausages, preferably made from pork or beef, that have a sufficient fat content to add flavor to the dish. Cut them into slices or larger pieces, depending on your preference, and add them alongside the potatoes in the tray. At this point, it is essential to use a tray that is large enough to accommodate all the ingredients without overcrowding them.

Over the potatoes and sausages in the tray, pour a few tablespoons of olive oil or vegetable oil, which will help brown the ingredients and add a crispy texture. Then, generously season the mixture with salt, pepper, and other aromatic spices, such as sweet paprika, granulated garlic, or herbs de Provence, according to your taste.

Now, we come to an important step: add water to the tray, but carefully, so that it is at the level of the potatoes without covering them. The water will contribute to the even cooking of the ingredients and will form a delicious sauce that will envelop the food at the end.

The tray is now ready for the oven. We place it in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius and let everything bake for about 45-60 minutes. It is important to check from time to time, gently stirring the ingredients to ensure they cook evenly and do not stick to the bottom of the tray.

When the dish is ready, and the potatoes have turned golden and tender, and the sausages are browned, we take the tray out of the oven and sprinkle finely chopped parsley on top. This will add a fresh note and vibrant color to the dish. Serve hot, alongside a fresh salad or pickles, for a delicious and nourishing meal!
