To prepare a delicious banana and chocolate cake, we start by mashing the bananas well using a fork until we get a smooth paste. This step is essential as the mashed bananas will add moisture and natural sweetness to our cake.

In a large bowl, we will cream the sugar and eggs together using a mixer until the mixture becomes a fluffy pale yellow cream. It is important to ensure that the sugar is completely dissolved to avoid crystals in the cake. Then, we add the melted butter, which should be at room temperature, and the milk. These ingredients will contribute to a rich and soft texture.

After we have well mixed the butter and milk, we will add the previously prepared banana cream. It is time to integrate the wet ingredients with the dry ones. In another bowl, sift the flour together with the baking powder to ensure even baking. We begin to add the flour mixture to the wet composition, mixing constantly, so that we obtain a creamy and slightly flowing batter.

Now, it is time to add the chocolate chips. We mix well so that each piece of chocolate is coated in the delicious batter. We prepare a baking tray, which we line with damp and well-wrung paper to prevent the cake from sticking. We carefully pour the batter into the tray and make sure it is evenly distributed.

The cake bakes in the preheated oven at 170-180°C for about 30-40 minutes. It is important to do the toothpick test: if it comes out clean, the cake is ready. After baking, we let the cake cool completely on a rack.

In the meantime, we can make the chocolate glaze. We melt the chocolate together with the butter in a bain-marie, stirring constantly to achieve a smooth and shiny mixture. Once the cake has cooled, we pour the chocolate glaze evenly over its surface. We let the cake cool for a few hours for the glaze to set.
