Yogurt pie
To prepare a delicious yogurt and lemon pie, start by separating the necessary ingredients and ensuring you have everything at hand. The first step is to take the four fresh eggs and beat them well in a large bowl, gradually adding the sugar. It is important to use granulated sugar to achieve a uniform texture. Mix the eggs with the sugar until the mixture becomes frothy and light in color. Add the grated zest of the two lemons, which will bring an intense aroma and a fresh note to your pie.
After incorporating the lemon zest, add the yogurt. Preferably, the yogurt should be Greek or natural, which will give the pie a special creaminess. Mix well until all the ingredients are homogenized. At this point, you can preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, so it is ready when the pie is ready to be baked.
While the oven is heating, prepare the baking tray in which you will bake the pie. Choose a tray of about 30x40 cm and grease it with oil, ensuring it is well covered. Then, take the pastry sheets, which can be bought commercially or made at home, and start laying them in the tray. Place two or three greased sheets on top of each other to form a solid base for the filling.
After placing the first layer of sheets, add a generous layer of the egg and yogurt mixture. Continue to alternate between greased pastry sheets and filling until you finish the ingredients. Make sure the last layer is always the egg and yogurt layer, and it should be applied in a thin layer to brown evenly.
The pie is placed in the oven for about 20-25 minutes. Check from time to time to ensure it browns nicely on top. When the pie takes on a golden hue, it’s time to take it out of the oven. Let it cool slightly, then sprinkle vanilla powdered sugar on top to add a touch of sweetness and an attractive appearance.
This yogurt and lemon pie is perfect for serving both warm and cold, and it will surely bring a smile to the faces of those who taste it. Enjoy every slice and savor the combination of flavors and textures!
