Fish with Susan and Chinese Rice
To prepare a delicious and healthy meal, we start by boiling the rice. It is important to choose a quality rice that absorbs flavors well. In a pot, add water and salt, then bring the rice to a boil according to the package instructions. While the rice is boiling, you can focus on preparing the fish, which will become the star of the meal.
If the fish fillets are large, cut them into smaller pieces to make them easier to handle during frying. In a bowl, combine sesame seeds with breadcrumbs. This combination will provide a crunchy texture on the outside of the fish, while also adding flavor. Set the sesame seed and breadcrumb mixture aside for later use.
Next, beat an egg in another bowl and add the wine. Mix well until you obtain a homogeneous composition. This mixture will help the breadcrumbs stick to the fish, giving it a delicious crust. In another container, mix flour with salt and pepper to season the fish. Now, take the fillet pieces, pat them dry with a paper towel to absorb excess water, then coat them in flour, followed by the beaten egg with wine, and finally in the sesame seed and breadcrumb mixture.
After you have finished preparing the fish, let it sit for a few minutes while you prepare the pan. In a skillet, add a little oil and heat it over low heat. Fry the pieces of fish, being careful not to overcrowd them, so they brown evenly. In the meantime, the rice should be ready. After draining it, in another skillet, add a few drops of oil and the mixture of chopped vegetables. Sauté the vegetables for a minute or two, then add the cooked rice, mixing well to combine the ingredients. Add soy sauce and mix again, then remove from heat.
At this point, you can fry a few eggs, which you can chop finely or to your liking. Chop the green onion, which you will add over the rice mixed with vegetables. Mix everything very well so that the flavors combine harmoniously. Serve this dish hot, alongside the fried fish. If you wish, you can prepare a spicy sauce to dip the fish in while enjoying the meal. This recipe is not only tasty but also full of colors and textures, perfect for impressing family or friends.
