To prepare these delicious cream-filled donuts with chocolate sauce, we will start with the dough. In a large pot, we bring water, oil, and salt to a boil. Make sure you have all the ingredients at hand, as the next steps need to be followed quickly. When the water begins to boil vigorously, we add all the flour at once. Using a spatula, we mix vigorously until the flour is completely incorporated and forms a homogeneous dough that pulls away from the sides of the pot. Once we achieve the desired consistency, we let the dough cool.

Once the dough has reached room temperature, we will add the eggs, one by one. It is essential to mix at high speed so that each egg is well incorporated before adding the next. The color of the dough will become lighter, and the texture will be slightly glossy. Now, using a pastry bag, we form the donuts on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. We bake the donuts in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius. For the first 13 minutes, we will bake at high temperature, and then we lower the temperature and let them bake for another 7 minutes to ensure they become airy and fluffy on the inside.

In the meantime, we take care of the delicious cream. In a bowl, we mix the eggs, sugar, flour, and 150 ml of milk, making sure there are no lumps. In a separate saucepan, we boil the remaining milk until it starts to boil. When the milk is ready, we add the egg mixture and continue to simmer everything on low heat, stirring constantly until the cream thickens. Once the cream has reached the desired consistency, we let it cool and add the vanilla and previously softened margarine, mixing well to obtain a smooth cream.

After the donuts have cooled, we fill them with the prepared cream, using the pastry bag again. It is important not to cut the donuts, but to gently break the shell with the pastry bag to avoid losing the airiness inside. Next, we take care of the chocolate sauce. In a saucepan, we boil all the necessary ingredients for the sauce until it thickens slightly. Once the sauce is ready, we let it cool. We can add rum essence for extra flavor.

Finally, we assemble the dessert on an elegant plate. Using the pastry bag, we form three swirls of whipped cream on which we carefully place the filled donuts. On top, we can add three small scoops of ice cream, choosing the preferred flavor. As a final touch, we place a small donut on top of the ice cream and decorate with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. This dessert not only looks wonderful, but it is also an explosion of flavors and textures, perfect for impressing guests or indulging in personal pampering moments.
