Pork Steak with Red Wine
To prepare a delicious meat and vegetable dish, it is essential to ensure that each step is executed carefully to achieve a rich flavor and perfect texture. We start by melting a generous piece of butter in a deep pot over medium heat. Once the butter is completely melted and starts to bubble, we add a little oil, which will help prevent the butter from burning and will add extra flavor. The oil will elevate the taste of our dish.
After obtaining a hot mixture, we add slices of meat, which can be pork, beef, or chicken, depending on personal preferences. We fry them on both sides until they become browned and crispy, then we remove them from the pot and set them aside, being careful to keep the fat composition that has formed in the pot.
In the same aromatic juices, we add finely chopped onion, sliced bell pepper, and mushrooms, which can be left whole if small or cut in half if larger. We let the vegetables fry well, stirring occasionally, until the onion becomes translucent and the bell pepper reveals its natural sweetness. The ideal moment to add paprika and flour is when the vegetables are cooked, as they will absorb the flavors and help thicken the sauce.
We carefully mix everything so that no lumps remain. We add the tomato sauce, which will give a vibrant color and a tangy taste to the dish. We mix again, then pour in the white wine, which will intensify the flavors and add an extra layer of complexity. We let it simmer for 10 minutes, so that the alcohol evaporates and the flavors concentrate.
After the 10 minutes, we add vegetable broth which will provide moisture and complement the dish. We turn off the heat and prepare for the final stage. We take a Jena dish and arrange the slices of meat at the bottom, generously covering them with the previously prepared vegetable and mushroom sauce. We place the dish in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20-30 minutes, until the meat becomes tender and full of flavors.
In the end, we add liquid cream, which will make the dish creamier and tastier. We close the oven, but leave the dish inside so that the cream incorporates well into the sauce and becomes perfect. This dish will surely be a success, full of flavor and aroma, and will bring a touch of culinary joy to your table.
