Orange Muffins

To prepare the most delicious citrus-flavored muffins, we start by preheating the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. It is important to ensure that the temperature is optimal for even baking, so that the muffins come out fluffy and nicely browned. In a large bowl, we will mix all the ingredients, except for the orange slices and cinnamon, if we choose to use it. These ingredients may include flour, sugar, eggs, milk, and oil, but we can also add flavors like vanilla or lemon zest for an extra touch of flavor.

Once we have obtained a homogeneous mixture, it is time to take care of the muffin molds. We will fill them with the batter, making sure to leave enough free space, about half or three-quarters of the mold. This is essential, as the muffins will rise beautifully during baking. After filling the molds, we add a slice of orange on top of each muffin. This will not only add an attractive appearance but will also infuse a fresh and aromatic taste.

If we wish, now is the time to sprinkle a little cinnamon on top to complete the aroma and provide a pleasant contrast with the sweetness of the orange. We place the molds in the preheated oven and let them bake for about 15 minutes. It is good to check the muffins after the first 10 minutes to ensure they are not burning and that they are baking evenly. We can use a toothpick to check if they are done; if it comes out clean from the middle of a muffin, then they are perfectly baked.

After taking them out of the oven, we let the muffins cool slightly before removing them from the molds. These muffins are very aromatic and tasty, perfect for serving both at breakfast and as a snack during the day. Enjoy them with a cup of tea or coffee and savor every bite! Bon appétit!

 Ingredients: 220 g flour, 100 g sugar (I used about 15-20 g sweetener), 200 g orange juice, 115 g melted butter, 2 eggs, a pinch of baking powder, 2 tablespoons orange zest, 1 tablespoon lemon zest, one large orange. The original recipe also had cinnamon, but since I don't like it, I didn't add it.
