TABBOULEH Salad
Boil water and let it hydrate for about 15 minutes until it becomes soft and fluffy. Once the bulgur has hydrated, it is important to drain it well and let it cool. This will form the base of our recipe, bringing a pleasant texture and subtle flavor that will be enriched by the other ingredients.
In a large bowl, we combine the cooled bulgur with finely chopped parsley, diced tomatoes, and minced onion. The mixture of fresh ingredients will give a vibrant touch to our dish, and the flavors will blend harmoniously. It is essential to mix carefully so that each ingredient is evenly distributed.
Next, we add lemon juice, which will bring a pleasant acidity and enhance the flavors. Extra virgin olive oil should not be missing, to give the dish a special finesse. We season with salt and pepper to taste, being careful to taste the mixture to ensure that the flavors are perfectly balanced. If we want a spicy note, we can also add a little finely chopped chili pepper.
After obtaining a homogeneous mixture, we let the salad sit in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This resting time will allow the ingredients to combine and reveal all the flavors. We serve the salad cold, as an appetizer or as a side dish alongside grilled meat or fish. It can be an excellent option for a summer lunch, being easy to prepare and very refreshing.
To add an extra touch of flavor, we can sprinkle some pomegranate seeds or chopped pistachios on top, which will not only enhance the aesthetic appearance but also bring a crunchy texture. Thus, this recipe becomes not only nourishing but also a visual feast.
Enjoy this fresh salad, full of vitamins, and savor every bite!
