Salad in Yogurt Cloak
To prepare a delicious and surprising stuffed egg recipe, we start by boiling the eggs hard. So, place the eggs in a pot of cold water, adding a little salt to facilitate the peeling process. Let them boil for about 10-12 minutes, then remove them and immediately place them in cold water to stop the cooking. Allow them to cool, after which you carefully peel them, keeping in mind that boiled eggs can be fragile.
Meanwhile, prepare all the ingredients for the filling by chopping the vegetables or other desired ingredients into small cubes or, depending on the recipe, you can grate them. These may include peppers, olives, onion, or any other preferred vegetable that will add flavor to the dish. Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl, making sure they are evenly distributed.
Another important step is hydrating the gelatin. Place the gelatin in a bowl with cold water and let it hydrate for about 10 minutes, according to the instructions on the package. Meanwhile, heat the yogurt over low heat, being careful not to let it boil. The hydrated gelatin will melt in a bain-marie, so prepare a pot of hot water and place a bowl with the gelatin on top, stirring constantly until it completely dissolves.
Once the gelatin is completely melted, add it to the warm yogurt and mix well to obtain a homogeneous composition. Then, pour this mixture over the filling ingredients and mix again, ensuring that all the filling is well covered. Let the mixture reach room temperature, then add mayonnaise (if you want a creamier taste) or mustard, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
Now, it’s time to assemble the dish. In a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap, pour half of the obtained composition, then place the boiled eggs in the middle, side by side. Cover with the remaining composition, making sure the eggs are well wrapped. If desired, you can use tart molds or small silicone molds, greased with a little oil, to obtain individual portions.
Let the dish chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, but it is recommended to leave it overnight to set well. After this time has passed, carefully remove from the pan or individual molds, removing the plastic wrap. It is important to keep the dish cool and slice it only before serving, to maintain its beautiful and fresh appearance. This recipe is perfect for parties or festive meals, being both tasty and impressive!
