Chicken and Vegetable Pie
To prepare a delicious vegetable and chicken pie, we will start by roasting the bell pepper. Choose a colorful bell pepper, which will add extra flavor and color to the dish. Once the onion becomes translucent, add the zucchini and bell pepper strips, along with the chicken breast sliced into thin pieces. Cover the skillet again and cook on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring periodically to ensure even cooking.
After all the ingredients are well cooked, remove the skillet from the heat and add the sour cream and eggs. Stir quickly to combine the ingredients, ensuring that the eggs do not coagulate but integrate perfectly into the filling.
Prepare a round metal or glass baking dish, greasing it with a little butter to prevent the pie from sticking. Place the first sheet of dough in the pan, making sure to evenly cover the bottom and sides. Add the vegetable and chicken filling, spreading it evenly. Then, cover with the second sheet of dough, which you will prick with a fork in several places to allow steam to escape during baking.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, ensuring it is well heated before placing the pie inside. Bake for 30 minutes or until the dough is beautifully golden brown. Once the pie is ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 15 minutes before serving. This step is essential to allow the filling to set so that it does not fall apart when cut. I strongly recommend not cutting it while it is hot, as you risk losing some of the delicious flavors and the aesthetic appearance of the dish.
