To prepare this delicious dish, the first step is to prepare the meat. It should be pounded with a meat hammer to thin it out, being careful not to turn it into too thin a mass; a thickness similar to the width of a knife blade is ideal. Once the meat is prepared, we generously season it with salt, ensuring that the flavors penetrate well into it.

The next step involves preparing the potatoes. They are carefully peeled, then sliced into thin rounds, making sure they are uniform for even cooking. Peppers and tomatoes are also sliced into rounds; preferably, the peppers can be combined in different colors to add a vibrant look to the dish.

For the sauce, we take 500 ml of sour cream and dilute it with 400 ml of milk. The resulting mixture will be salted to taste, ensuring that the sauce will add a creamy texture and rich flavor to the final dish.

Next, we prepare a deeper baking dish, which we generously grease with lard. If we do not have lard, butter is a good alternative. We start layering half of the sliced potatoes in the dish, creating an even layer. On top of these, we place the slices of meat, previously seasoned with salt, making sure they are evenly distributed.

Once the meat is placed, we add the slices of peppers and tomatoes, which will contribute not only to the flavor but also to the aesthetic appearance of the dish. Once we have arranged all the ingredients, we pour half of the sour cream and milk mixture over the layer of vegetables and meat.

Then, we cover everything with the remaining potatoes and pour the rest of the diluted sour cream, making sure everything is well covered. We cover the dish with aluminum foil and then place it in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius. We let the dish bake for about 30 minutes to cook well.

After these 30 minutes, we remove the aluminum foil and let the dish brown, giving the potatoes a golden and appetizing crust. When it is ready, we take the dish out of the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.

It is served hot, ideally drizzled with a sauce of mayonnaise mixed with sour cream and ketchup for an extra flavor boost. This dish represents a perfect combination of textures and flavors, being ideal for a family meal or with friends.
