Oven-baked feathers

 Ingredients: 400 g penne, 300-400 g York ham, 2 tubes of cream butter with sour cream, grated cheese, 300 g sour cream, salt, pepper, 3 tablespoons of butter.

To prepare a delicious recipe of pasta with ham and creamy sauce, we start by organizing the necessary ingredients. We will need 200 grams of ham, 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter, 200 grams of cream cheese, 200 grams of sour cream, 300 grams of penne (type of pasta), 150 grams of grated cheese, salt and pepper to taste.

The first step is to cut the ham into small cubes or thin strips, depending on your preference. Then, in a heated pan, add the two tablespoons of margarine or butter and let it melt. After the margarine is heated, add the cut ham and sauté over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it becomes slightly golden and crispy. This will add a rich flavor to our dish.

Once the ham is ready, add the tubes of cream cheese to the pan and let it simmer for a few minutes, stirring constantly to combine all the flavors. Then, add the sour cream, mixing well to achieve a smooth sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste, being careful not to overdo the salt, considering that the ham may already be salty.

Meanwhile, bring water to a boil in a large pot, adding a tablespoon of salt. When the water has started to boil, add the penne and let it boil for about 8 minutes, or until al dente. It is important not to overcook them, as they will continue to cook in the oven.

In a baking dish that we have greased with a little butter or margarine, we start to layer our dish. Place a first layer of cooked penne, followed by a generous layer of ham sauce, then sprinkle grated cheese. Continue with another layer of penne, sauce, and cheese, repeating this process until we finish the ingredients.

To finish, add a final layer of penne on top, which we cover with a generous layer of grated cheese and a tablespoon of sour cream. This will create a delicious golden crust during baking. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the dish in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until the surface is nicely browned.

Once the dish is ready, let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Place portions on plates, garnishing with a little fresh greenery if desired. This recipe for penne with ham and creamy sauce will surely be a hit among loved ones, being both tasty and filling. Enjoy your meal!
