Brief Historical Introduction
Candy roses are a modern innovation that transforms ordinary sweets into edible works of art. This type of decoration has started to gain popularity among pastry lovers, with roots in cake decorating art from around the world. Whether used to adorn a birthday cake or to add a touch of originality to a dessert, these sweet roses are always a hit.

Step by Step - Guide to Creating Roses
1. Preparing the Candies
- Take 4-6 Sugus candies (the amount depends on how large you want the petals to be).
- Use a knife to cut each candy into smaller pieces, about 1-2 cm.

2. Rolling Out the Petals
- Place each piece of candy between two sheets of plastic wrap.
- Use a rolling pin to roll the candy as thin as possible. You’ll want to achieve a fine petal shape, so don’t hesitate to apply a bit of effort.
- Tip: If the candy becomes too sticky, you can microwave it for a few seconds to soften it slightly, but be careful not to melt it completely.

3. Forming the Rose
- Once you have a petal, carefully remove it from the wrap. This step is crucial as the candy can stick to the wrap.
- Take the first petal and form a cone around the toothpick. This will be the base of your rose.
- Continue rolling and forming petals, which you will gradually add around the cone. You can use between 5 and 10 petals, depending on the desired size.

4. Finalizing the Rose
- Once you are satisfied with the appearance of your flower, make sure all the petals are well secured. You can use your fingers to shape them and give a natural look.
- Place the rose on a support, such as an apple or a lemon, to provide stability.

Serving Suggestions
Sugus roses can be used to decorate cakes, cupcakes, or even as part of a candy arrangement. You can place them on an elegant plate alongside other delicacies, providing a contrast of colors and textures.

Possible Variations
If you want to experiment, you can use candies of different flavors or colors to create unique roses. You can also add a few drops of food coloring to intensify the shades of the petals.

Nutritional Benefits and Calories
Although Sugus roses are a sweet delicacy and should not be consumed in excess, candies can provide a quick source of energy due to their high sugar content. It is important to remember that sweets should be consumed in moderation. A Sugus rose has about 50-70 calories, depending on the size and ingredients used.

We hope this recipe was both captivating and informative! Try making Sugus roses at home and enjoy the positive feedback from your loved ones. Remember that cooking is an art, and every recipe is an opportunity to express your creativity!

To start, we will cut the caramel into 4-6 pieces (depending on how big you want the petals to be), then we place each piece between 2 sheets of plastic and, using a rolling pin, we roll it out very well (the petal formed must be taken off the sheet immediately, as it sticks). From the first petal, we form a cone which we stick into a toothpick, and then the toothpick into an apple :D, after which we roll out all the pieces endlessly, thus forming the petals that we will carefully add to the cone stuck in the toothpick :)). We can add as many petals as we want. I apologize for the quality of the pictures and hope something can be understood, but it was late and my phone doesn't know that :D
