Preparation time: 30 minutes
Chilling time: 4 hours (or overnight)
Total time: 4 hours 30 minutes
Number of servings: 12-16

Ingredients:

For the cookie base:
- 260 g cocoa cookies (we recommend Petit Beurre or another favorite type)
- 150 g butter

For the chocolate filling:
- 250 g milk chocolate
- 250 ml liquid cream
- 100 g butter (at room temperature)
- 2 sachets of gelatin (10 g each)
- 1 essence of rum

For the glaze:
- 50 g milk chocolate
- 50 ml liquid cream

For decoration:
- 1 thinly sliced nectarine

Preparation:

Step 1: Preparing the cookie base
1. Start by melting the 150 g of butter in a saucepan over low heat or in the microwave. Be careful not to burn it!
2. Crush the cocoa cookies in a large bowl using a rolling pin or food processor until they become a fine powder.
3. Add the melted butter over the cookies and mix well until you get a homogeneous mixture that binds easily.

Step 2: Forming the base
4. Place a plastic wrap in a loaf pan, letting the edges hang slightly over the sides for easier removal of the cake.
5. Put the cookie mixture into the pan and press it down well with a spoon to form an even layer. This will be the bottom of your cake.
6. Refrigerate the pan for about 30 minutes while you prepare the filling.

Step 3: Preparing the chocolate filling
7. In a small saucepan, melt the 250 g of milk chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
8. Once melted, let it cool slightly, then add the rum essence and 250 ml of liquid cream. Mix well until homogeneous.
9. In another bowl, soak the gelatin in 150 ml of cold water for 5-10 minutes. Then, place it over a double boiler or in the microwave to melt completely.
10. Add the melted gelatin to the chocolate mixture and mix well. Finally, incorporate the 100 g of butter, stirring until you obtain a smooth cream.

Step 4: Assembling the cake
11. Pour the chocolate filling over the cookie base in the pan. Use a spatula to spread the mixture evenly.
12. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and let the cake chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours, or for best results, overnight.

Step 5: Preparing the glaze
13. Once the cake has set, prepare the glaze by melting the 50 g of milk chocolate together with 50 ml of liquid cream. Mix well until homogeneous.
14. Let the glaze cool slightly, then pour it evenly over the set cake.

Step 6: Decorating
15. Slice the nectarine thinly and arrange the slices beautifully on top of the glaze for an extra touch of freshness and an attractive appearance.

Serving:
When it's time to serve "Black Madness", carefully remove the cake from the pan using the plastic wrap. Cut into slices and enjoy each piece alongside a cup of coffee or a fragrant tea. This combination is a true indulgence for the senses!

Useful tips:
- You can replace the rum essence with vanilla essence for a more subtle flavor.
- If you want a touch of freshness, add some fresh raspberries or strawberries on top of the cake before serving.
- Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature to achieve a homogeneous mixture.

Nutritional benefits:
This cake is high in calories due to the chocolate and butter, but it also provides a good source of energy. Milk chocolate contains antioxidants that can be beneficial for heart health, while the cookies provide carbohydrates that will give you long-lasting energy.

Frequently asked questions:
- Can I use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate?
- Yes, if you prefer a more intense and less sweet flavor, dark chocolate will work wonderfully!

- How can I store the cake?
- The cake can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container to prevent drying out.

- What other chocolate desserts can I try?
- You can also try chocolate brownies, chocolate mousse, or even a chocolate tart.

In conclusion, "Black Madness" is not just a simple cake, but a culinary experience that will delight your senses. Don't hesitate to experiment with the ingredients and share this delicacy with your loved ones! Enjoy!
