To prepare these delicious apple chocolate parcels, start by allowing the puff pastry to thaw so that it is pliable enough to use. This step is essential because well-thawed dough will have a perfect texture after baking, becoming slightly crispy and airy.

In the meantime, peel the apples, remove the core and the seed casing. Cut the apples into small cubes, about 1 cm, so they cook evenly and incorporate well into the parcels. After cutting the apples, sprinkle them with lemon juice to prevent oxidation and keep their vibrant color. This simple trick will also add a touch of acidity that will perfectly contrast with the sweetness of the apples.

Once the dough is completely thawed, cut it into squares of 12x12 cm. These dimensions are ideal for creating perfectly sized parcels. Sprinkle half of the squares with breadcrumbs, making sure to leave a 1 cm margin free on all sides. The breadcrumbs will absorb the moisture from the apples and chocolate, ensuring that the parcels remain crispy and do not become soggy.

Now place the apple cubes in the center of the squares covered with breadcrumbs. On top of them, add a spoonful of melted chocolate mixed with butter, prepared in a double boiler and allowed to cool. This combination will provide an intense flavor and creamy texture, perfectly complementing the sweetness of the apples.

To ensure a good seal, brush the free edge of the squares with lightly beaten egg white, which will act as a natural adhesive. Then cover with another square of puff pastry, pressing the edges well with the tines of a fork to ensure that the filling does not leak during baking.

Place the parcels on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between them to allow for expansion during baking. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and place the tray inside. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the parcels become golden and puffed.

Once baked, you can serve them warm or cold, depending on your preference. For a more appealing look, dust them with powdered sugar before bringing them to the table. These apple chocolate parcels are perfect for desserts, snacks, or even as a special treat during a gathering with friends. Enjoy!
