Arugula Salad
Ingredients: a larger connection arugula 250 g cherry tomatoes 2 green onion stalks 125 g mozzarella a few basil leaves 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon vinegar (this is added according to everyone's taste) vegeta, pepper, and salt are added to everyone's taste
To create a delicious and flavorful salad, we start by preparing the ingredients with patience and care. The first step is to deal with the onion. Choose a fresh onion with a vibrant color and firm texture. Wash it well, then slice it thinly to let its sweet flavor permeate the salad. The onion will add an intense flavor note while balancing the other ingredients.
The next step is to handle the tomatoes. Choose well-ripened tomatoes, preferably from various varieties to achieve a palette of colors and flavors. Cut them in half, then each half into slices or cubes, depending on your preferences. Tomatoes add juiciness and a natural sweetness that will pleasantly contrast with the onion.
After preparing the onion and tomatoes, we turn our attention to the mozzarella. Choose fresh mozzarella, ideal for salads. Cut it into appropriately sized cubes so that it integrates perfectly into the mix. This cheese brings a creamy taste and a soft texture that will enrich the salad.
Now that we have all the ingredients chopped, we combine them in a large bowl. Here we also add whole arugula leaves, which bring a slightly peppery taste and a note of freshness. Additionally, the basil leaves, cut into larger pieces, will provide flavor and an irresistible summer fragrance.
Next, we prepare the dressing. Over the vegetable mix, we pour extra virgin olive oil, which will add a rich flavor and a velvety texture. We also add vinegar, preferably balsamic or red wine, to balance the sweetness of the ingredients. Season with salt, pepper, and Vegeta, all added to taste. It is important to taste the salad along the way and adjust the seasonings to achieve a dish that delights our senses.
We carefully mix all the ingredients to ensure the dressing spreads evenly. The salad is now ready to be served. We can present it on a beautiful platter, decorated with a few fresh basil leaves, or enjoy it directly from the bowl. This salad is perfect as an appetizer or as a side dish, bringing a touch of freshness and color to any meal. Bon appétit!
