Turkey Roll with Vegetables
To create a delicious and comforting meal, we will start with the necessary ingredients. We will need a fresh chicken breast, carrots, celery, onion, eggs, flour, potatoes, peppers, garlic, spices such as curry, vegeta, olive oil, and kitchen string. Make sure all the ingredients are of high quality, as the taste of your dish will depend greatly on them.
We begin by preparing the filling. Grate the carrot and celery on a small grater. These vegetables add sweetness and flavor, and are also very nutritious. The onion, on the other hand, is grated on a large grater to release its juice and intense flavors. Heat a little oil in a pan and add the grated vegetables. Sauté them over medium heat, stirring constantly, until they become slightly translucent. Add your favorite spices to enhance the flavor of the mixture. Once the vegetables are ready, let them cool slightly, then mix them with the beaten egg and flour, forming a homogeneous filling.
Now it's time to deal with the chicken breast. Wash it well under cold running water and pat it dry with a paper towel. Cut it into thin slices, so you get a large sheet. Now, place the slices of meat in a plastic bag and gently pound them with a meat mallet, being careful not to crush them. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and your other favorite spices.
Once you have the chicken breast, spread the filling over the entire surface of the meat, leaving a few centimeters free at the edges. Roll the meat with the filling, making sure to tighten it well, then tie the roll with kitchen string to maintain its shape. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the roll on all sides until it becomes golden. This step will help seal the juices inside, making the meat more tender and flavorful.
Meanwhile, we prepare the side dish. Cut the potatoes into larger pieces, add whole peppers and peeled garlic. Season the vegetables with curry, vegeta, and a splash of olive oil, mixing well to combine the flavors. Place the vegetables in a roasting bag and place the roll on top, so the juices will drip into the vegetables during cooking. Add a cup of water or white wine to add moisture during cooking. Tie the bag tightly and poke it in several places to allow steam to escape.
Put everything in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius, letting it bake for about 40 minutes. At the end, open the bag and let the roll brown slightly to obtain an appetizing crust. Serve the dish warm, sliced, alongside the delicious vegetables. This meal will surely impress your family and friends!
