Who doesn't love a creamy and savory dish? Gratin potatoes are a true culinary indulgence, perfect for a family dinner or to impress guests. This simple and quick recipe for gratin potatoes will turn any meal into a true feast of flavor. Let's get started!

### Ingredients

- 500 g potatoes
- 200 g sheep cheese
- 200 g cheese
- 3 eggs
- 200 g sour cream
- 200 ml milk
- White pepper, to taste
- A little vegeta
- Butter, for greasing

### Step by Step

1. Preparing the potatoes:
Start by washing the potatoes well under cold running water, using a wire sponge to remove any traces of dirt. This is an essential step to ensure that the final dish will be clean and tasty. Then, place the potatoes in a pot with cold water and salt, over low heat, to boil them. This allows the potatoes to cook evenly. Boil them for 15-20 minutes, or until they are easily pierced with a fork but not too soft.

2. Cutting the potatoes:
After boiling, let them cool slightly, then cut them into thin slices or cubes. Personally, I prefer to grate them with a large grater, as this helps bind the potatoes with the sauce, giving them a wonderful texture.

3. Preparing the sauce:
In a large bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Add the sour cream, milk, white pepper, and vegeta, mixing well. This mixture will create the creamy base for the gratin. Grate the cheese and crumble the sheep cheese, then add them to the egg mixture.

4. Arranging in the dish:
Generously grease a baking dish with butter to prevent sticking. Lay down a first layer of potatoes, followed by a layer of cheese sauce. Continue alternating between potatoes and sauce until you finish the ingredients. Make sure to add the remaining grated cheese and a few cubes of butter for extra flavor at each layer.

5. Baking:
Finally, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Preheat the oven to 180°C and place the dish inside for about 25-30 minutes or until the surface turns golden and crispy. The aroma that will spread throughout the house will make you indulge even before finishing the dish.

### Chef's Tip

For extra flavor, you can add herbs like thyme or rosemary between the layers of potatoes. You can also experiment with different types of cheese, such as mozzarella or cheddar, to achieve a different texture and taste.

### Serving

Gratin potatoes are served warm, as a main dish or as a side dish alongside a juicy steak. You can add a fresh green salad to balance the rich flavor of the gratin. This gratin potato recipe is not only delicious but also versatile, allowing you to adapt it to your preferences.

Enjoy every bite and let your imagination run wild in the kitchen!
