You will need soft butter, sugar, vanilla essence, egg yolk, flour, baking powder, salt, egg white, nuts (or hazelnuts, almonds), and of course, your favorite jam, whether it's fruit preserve, jelly, or even chocolate.
The first step is to mix the soft butter together with the sugar and vanilla essence, using an electric mixer or a spatula, until you obtain a creamy and slightly aerated mixture. The flavors will combine harmoniously, creating a delicious base for the cookies. Then, add the egg yolk and continue mixing until it is well incorporated into the mixture.
Next, add the sifted flour together with the baking powder and salt. Sifting the flour is not just a precautionary measure but helps achieve a fine and even texture. Mix everything with a spatula or with your hands until you obtain a homogeneous dough, but do not overmix to avoid developing the gluten in the flour, which would make the cookies tougher.
Once the dough is ready, form balls with a diameter of about 2-2.5 cm. These balls will become your wonderful cookies. Before baking, roll each ball first in the lightly beaten egg white using a fork, then in the coarsely chopped nuts. This will add a crunchy texture and a delicious taste.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the tray inside. Bake the cookies for about 15 minutes, until they become slightly golden at the edges and well baked. When ready, remove them from the oven and let them cool on a rack. This step is essential, as the cookies will retain their crunchy texture and flavor.
