Beef steak with mushrooms is a delicious dish, perfect for a special dinner or to impress guests. This simple and quick recipe will guide you step by step through the preparation process, ensuring you achieve a juicy steak full of flavors. The total preparation time is about 2 hours, and from this quantity, you will be able to serve 4 generous portions.

Necessary ingredients:
- 1 kg beef (ideally, a tenderloin or a piece from the shoulder)
- 1 jar of small mushrooms (approximately 300 g)
- 200 g cherry tomatoes (or regular tomatoes, halved)
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- 2-3 bay leaves
- 1 cup of red wine (choose a quality wine)
- Spices: curry, thyme, pepper, vegeta, sweet paprika, marjoram
- 4-5 medium potatoes
- 50 g butter
- 100 ml milk
- 1 roasted bell pepper (for an extra splash of color and flavor)
- Olive oil
- Balsamic vinegar (optional, for marinating)

Preparation:
1. Start by preparing the meat. Choose a quality piece of beef, preferably with a thin layer of fat, which will help retain juiciness. Rinse the meat under cold running water and dry it with a paper towel.
2. Rub the meat with a little olive oil and massage it well, ensuring the oil reaches all surfaces. This step is essential to enhance flavor and allow the spices to adhere better.
3. Make several deep cuts in the meat, where you will insert the garlic slices. These cuts will help infuse the garlic flavor into the meat and allow the spices to penetrate better.
4. Season the meat with a mixture of curry, thyme, pepper, vegeta, sweet paprika, and marjoram. Let the meat marinate for about 30 minutes. If you have time, a longer marinade (from 1-2 hours to overnight) in the fridge will enhance the flavor.
5. Meanwhile, prepare the potatoes. Peel and cut them into cubes. Boil them in salted water until tender, then drain and mash them with butter and milk, creating a smooth puree. You can also add a bit of pepper or nutmeg for a refined taste.
6. In a large skillet, sauté the small mushrooms and cherry tomatoes in olive oil until lightly browned. Add bay leaves for extra flavor.
7. Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a baking dish, place the seasoned meat and add the red wine and sautéed mushrooms. Cover the dish with aluminum foil to retain moisture.
8. Bake the steak for about 1 hour, then remove the foil and let it brown for another 15-20 minutes.
9. In the last 10 minutes of baking, you can add the roasted bell pepper, cut into strips, for an extra splash of color and taste.

Serving:
Serve the beef steak alongside the mashed potatoes, garnished with mushrooms and tomatoes. You can also add a few fresh parsley leaves for a pleasant appearance. A bottle of red wine, used in the recipe, will perfectly complement the meal.

Personal suggestion:
For a more aromatic variant, you can add some fresh herbs to the marinade, such as rosemary or oregano. Additionally, balsamic vinegar can be used as a secret ingredient in marinating the meat, bringing a sweet-and-sour note.

This beef steak with mushrooms is a true feast that will turn any meal into a special occasion. Savor every bite and enjoy the rich and varied flavors of this dish.
