Minced meat roll
Ingredients: minced meat 500 g 4 eggs 2 small peppers of different colors (green/red) Feta cheese or telemea salt, pepper 1 small onion 1 slice of bread soaked in milk
Ground meat is a versatile ingredient, and when combined with eggs, onion, and spices, it becomes the perfect base for a delicious dish. Start by preparing all the necessary ingredients. Take 500 grams of ground beef or pork, depending on your preference, and place it in a large bowl. Add the two eggs, which will help bind the mixture, and mix well with a fork or your hands. The finely chopped onion should be added now to provide an extra flavor; you can use white or red onion, depending on the desired taste.
After incorporating the onion, add salt and pepper to taste. These spices are essential to highlight the flavors. Next, take a slice of bread, soak it in milk, and then squeeze it well. This step will make the dish juicier. Add the bread to the bowl with the meat and mix everything until the mixture becomes homogeneous.
Next, prepare a sheet of aluminum foil, which you will grease with a little oil to prevent sticking. Place the meat mixture on the foil, spreading it evenly. Now comes the interesting part: on the spread-out meat, sprinkle the two peppers cut into small pieces – one green and one red, which will add a splash of color and a crunchy texture. Also add the diced feta cheese, which will provide a tasty contrast, and the two hard-boiled eggs, grated, which will enrich the dish with protein.
After you have added all the ingredients, use the aluminum foil to carefully roll the meat, forming a tight roll. Make sure the edge is well folded to prevent the filling from leaking during baking. Place the obtained roll in a loaf pan, which you can line with parchment paper for extra protection. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake the dish for about 45-50 minutes, or until well browned and cooked through.
