Turkey Delicacy as Crisps
To prepare a delicious turkey dish with cabbage and apples, we start by preparing the ingredients. We begin by cutting the turkey meat into thin strips, making sure they are of uniform size for even cooking. This meat is not only healthy but also very tasty, adding a special flavor to the dish.
In a large skillet, we heat 50 ml of oil over medium heat. When it is well heated, we add the finely chopped onion. The onion will take on a golden hue and become soft, releasing its aroma. This is the stage where the dish starts to come to life, so do not let the onion burn, but stir constantly.
Once the onion is sautéed, we add the strips of turkey meat. We mix well to ensure that each piece of meat is coated with the flavored oil. We let the meat fry, being careful to stir occasionally. When the juice released by the meat has completely evaporated, it’s time to add the apples. We peel the apples and slice them thinly, then add them to the skillet. They will add a sweet-tart contrast that will perfectly complement the savory flavor of the meat.
Next, we add the shredded cabbage, cut thin like for a salad. Once we have added all the ingredients, we season with salt and pepper to taste and let them sauté together for a few seconds. This will help develop the flavors. After a few moments, we add about 150 ml of water, along with 1/4 teaspoon of dried mint and a bunch of finely chopped fresh parsley. We cover the skillet with a lid and let it simmer, so the water reduces and the ingredients combine in a harmonious way.
After the water has evaporated, we carefully pour in 300 ml of cream, stirring gently to avoid lumps. Here, we can check the taste again, adjusting the amount of salt and pepper if necessary. We let it boil for 2-3 minutes so that the cream integrates perfectly into the dish, giving it a creamy texture and rich flavor.
This delicious dish is served hot, alongside a side of boiled rice that will absorb all the flavors and the juiciness of the sauce. Enjoy your meal!
