Fried Zucchini
Fried zucchini is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed both as a main course and as a side dish alongside other meals. This simple and quick recipe will transform the zucchini into a crispy and flavorful delight, perfect for lunch or dinner.
To start, choose fresh, medium-sized zucchini that are not too old, as they have a better texture and a sweeter taste. Peel them, then cut them into slices about one centimeter thick. This will ensure even frying and a pleasant texture in the end.
In a bowl, beat the two eggs well, ensuring they are completely homogenized. Carefully, gradually add the flour, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. If desired, add a little water to achieve a more fluid consistency of the batter, which will help coat the zucchini evenly. Don’t forget to sprinkle a little salt into the mixture to enhance the flavors.
Once the batter is ready, dip each zucchini slice into the egg and flour mixture, ensuring it is well coated. Heat a pan with enough oil so that the slices can fry evenly. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the zucchini, being careful not to overcrowd the pan to allow optimal frying. Fry them until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
When the zucchini are ready, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate with paper towels to absorb the excess oil. This step is essential for achieving a lighter and healthier dish.
To serve, we recommend adding a garlic sauce made from crushed garlic and water, which will add extra flavor. Additionally, a hard-boiled egg, cut in half, can perfectly complement this dish, providing a creamy texture and delicious taste.
