Super Quick Cake
To prepare a delicious mug cake, start by gathering all the necessary ingredients for the recipe. You will need flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa, eggs, milk, oil, and optionally, fresh or canned sour cherries, to add a touch of freshness and a tangy flavor. These ingredients will be carefully mixed to achieve a smooth and tasty batter.
In each mug, add 4 heaping tablespoons of flour, 4 heaping tablespoons of sugar, one teaspoon of baking powder, and one tablespoon of cocoa. Mix the dry ingredients with a fork or spatula, ensuring there are no lumps. This step is essential for achieving a fine texture in your cake. After mixing the dry ingredients well, add one egg to each mug. The eggs are responsible for aerating the batter, so make sure to mix them well until homogeneous.
The next step involves adding the milk. Add 3 tablespoons of milk to each mug, stirring constantly to well integrate the liquid into the composition. The milk will make the batter moist and fluffy. After incorporating the milk, it’s time to add the oil. Add 3 tablespoons of oil to each mug and mix again, ensuring everything is well homogenized. If you wish, you can add some sour cherries both in the batter and on top, to give it an attractive appearance and an unmistakable aroma. Once you have finished preparing the batter, it’s time to transfer it to the microwave. Place each mug in the preheated microwave at 850 watts and let it bake for 4 minutes. It is important to pay attention to the baking time, as it may vary depending on the power of the microwave.
After 4 minutes, carefully remove the mugs from the microwave, keeping in mind that they will be very hot. Let them cool for 1-2 minutes, then use a knife to detach the edge of the cake from the mug's wall. This step is essential to avoid breaking the cake. With a little patience, the cake will come out easily, allowing you to enjoy a delicious slice. Serve it warm, alongside a cup of coffee or tea, and enjoy a simple yet flavorful recipe, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients: For two mugs because basically this cake is made in a mug in the microwave: ~ 8 tablespoons of flour ~ 8 tablespoons of sugar ~ 2 tablespoons of cocoa ~ 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder for each mug ~ 6 tablespoons of milk ~ 6 tablespoons of oil ~ and the two empty tea mugs ~ besides these ingredients, I also used pitted sour cherries.
