Ricotta and Chocolate Muffins
To prepare delicious ricotta and chocolate muffins, you will need a few essential ingredients, as well as a little time and patience. Start by preheating the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, so that it is ready to bake your muffins until they become golden and fluffy.
In a large bowl, combine the flour with the baking powder and sugar. It is important to mix these dry ingredients well to ensure that the baking powder is evenly distributed, which will help the muffins rise. In another bowl, beat the eggs with a whisk, then add the melted butter, which should be at room temperature, and the milk. These wet ingredients will add moisture and flavor to your mixture.
Once you have a homogeneous mixture, gradually add the flour mixture to the one with eggs, butter, and milk. When doing this, make sure to mix gently, so as not to develop the gluten in the flour, which could make the muffins denser. Once you have a uniform batter, it's time to add the ricotta, which will give a creamy texture and delicious taste. Finally, incorporate the chocolate cut into small pieces or, if you prefer, you can use chocolate eggs, which you can place directly in the center of each muffin for a sweet surprise.
After preparing the mixture, grease the muffin molds with a little butter or oil to prevent sticking. Use a spoon or a ladle to pour the batter into the molds, being careful not to fill them to the brim, as the muffins will rise during baking. Once you have filled the molds, place them in the preheated oven and let them bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
After baking, let the muffins cool slightly before removing them from the molds. They are exceptionally soft and fluffy, and the combination of ricotta with chocolate makes them absolutely irresistible. You can serve them warm or at room temperature, and if you like, you can decorate them with a dusting of powdered sugar or a fine chocolate glaze. These muffins are perfect for breakfast, a snack, or even to be enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy every bite!
