Fish with Mayonnaise

Ingredients: 1-2 fish (pike), 2 eggs, oil, carrots, parsley roots, onion, potatoes, salt, and a few peppercorns.

To prepare a delicious fish recipe with mayonnaise, start by choosing fresh ingredients. Take some carrots, parsley roots, an onion, potatoes, salt, and a few peppercorns. These vegetables will provide the base flavor of your dish. Begin by peeling and cutting the carrots and parsley roots into suitable pieces, while you can leave the onion whole. In a large pot, add all the vegetables, cover them with cold water, add salt and peppercorns, then bring everything to a boil.

Let the vegetables boil until they become tender, which can take about 20-30 minutes. When the vegetables are cooked, add the fish you have chosen – it can be white fish like cod or pike, or even salmon, depending on your preferences. Allow the fish to boil in the vegetable broth for another 3-4 minutes, until it becomes opaque and easily flakes off the bones. Once cooked, remove the fish from the pot and let it cool slightly. Then, carefully debone it, ensuring that you remove all the bones.

After deboning the fish, take a platter or a larger plate and arrange half of the fish on it, or both halves if you used two fish. Cover the fish with a light mayonnaise, which you can prepare at home from one egg, oil, mustard, and lemon juice. Adding lemon juice will give a fresh taste and make the mayonnaise lighter. On top of the mayonnaise, place the remaining fish and cover it again with a thin layer of mayonnaise.

To give the dish a special look, decorate with finely chopped carrots and parsley roots, which will not only add a nice appearance but also a touch of freshness. If you prefer to turn this recipe into a fish salad with mayonnaise, you can cut the fish into small pieces and mix it with the carrots, potatoes, and parsley roots, all diced. Add plenty of mayonnaise and mix well to incorporate all the ingredients. This salad is perfect for a festive meal or a family dinner, bringing a refined taste and an attractive presentation.
