Discover a simple and quick recipe for a delicious cake inspired by the famous Mars chocolate. This cake combines the crunchy texture of cocoa biscuits with the creaminess of chocolate and caramel filling, resulting in an unforgettable dessert. Perfect for any occasion, whether it's a birthday party or a gathering with friends, this Mars Cake is sure to become the star of your table.

Ingredients for the base:
- 250 g cocoa biscuits (choose quality biscuits for an intense flavor)
- 150 g butter (melted, to bind the mixture well)

Ingredients for the filling:
- 400 g dark chocolate (minimum 55% cocoa, for a deeper flavor)
- 200 ml heavy cream (it is essential to be very cold for optimal whipping)
- 100 g sugar (preferably brown sugar, for a caramelized taste)
- 100 g butter (at room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for an extra flavor)

Preparing the base:
1. Start by preheating the oven to 180°C. This step is crucial for getting a well-baked base.
2. Crush the cocoa biscuits in a food processor until they become a fine powder. If you don’t have a food processor, you can put the biscuits in a bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
3. Add the melted butter over the biscuits and mix well until you get a homogeneous mixture, similar to wet sand.
4. Line the bottom and sides of a non-stick cake pan (preferably 22 cm in diameter) with this mixture. Press down firmly to create an even base.
5. Bake the base in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until it slightly hardens. Let it cool.

Preparing the filling:
1. In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream and sugar. Heat gently over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar completely dissolves.
2. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the broken dark chocolate. Stir well until the chocolate completely melts and you achieve a smooth mixture.
3. Add the butter at room temperature and the vanilla extract, mixing until everything is well incorporated.
4. Pour the chocolate filling over the cooled biscuit base. Level with a spatula to achieve an even surface.
5. Allow the cake to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the filling has set well.

Serving the cake:
Once the cake has cooled, carefully remove it from the pan and decorate it as desired. You can use chocolate shavings, roasted nuts, or even a caramel sauce for an extra touch of flavor. Serve it alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream to add a creamy contrast to the rich texture of the cake.

Useful tips:
- Make sure the biscuits are well crushed for an even base. Too coarse a powder will lead to a fragile base.
- You can experiment with different types of chocolate, such as milk chocolate, for a sweeter flavor.
- If you want a lighter cake, you can replace some of the butter with Greek yogurt.

This Mars Cake is a perfect choice for sweet lovers and an excellent way to impress your guests. Try it and enjoy every bite of chocolate and caramel!
