Watermelon Smoothie
Ingredients: 200 g watermelon, 125 g vanilla yogurt, 4 ice cubes, 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
To prepare a delicious and refreshing watermelon smoothie, start by choosing a quality watermelon that is well-ripened. It is essential to check if the watermelon has a smooth skin and an even color. Once you have selected the perfect watermelon, start by washing it under a stream of cold water to remove any impurities. Then, with a sharp knife, remove the skin, taking care not to lose too much of the juicy pulp.
After you have cleaned the watermelon, cut it in half and scoop out the seeds with a spoon. It is important to remove all the seeds to achieve a smooth texture for the smoothie. Once you have removed the seeds, cut the watermelon into small cubes, about 2-3 cm. These cubes will facilitate even blending in the blender.
In a quality blender, add the watermelon cubes, which will bring natural sweetness and intense flavor. Add a generous handful of ice to create a refreshing drink, perfect for hot summer days. Then, pour about 200 ml of yogurt into the blender, which will provide a pleasant creaminess and a slightly tangy taste, balancing the sweetness of the watermelon.
Close the blender lid and blend the ingredients on high speed for 1-2 minutes, or until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. If you prefer a less thick smoothie, you can add a few tablespoons of mineral water or lemon juice for an extra touch of freshness. Taste the mixture and adjust it to your preferences, but considering that the watermelon is already sweet, there is no need to add sugar.
Once the smoothie is ready, pour it into chilled glasses. You can decorate each glass with a thin slice of watermelon or a few fresh mint leaves for an attractive appearance. This smoothie is perfect to be served at a party, as an appetizer, or simply as a healthy snack during the summer. Enjoy this refreshing drink and savor every sip, feeling how the fresh watermelon flavor refreshes your senses!
