Omelette roll
To prepare a delicious rolled omelette, we need a few essential ingredients and a bit of patience. We start by preparing three bowls, each having a specific role in this recipe.
In the first bowl, we crack four eggs, add a pinch of salt, and a little freshly ground pepper. Using a fork or a whisk, we beat the eggs until we achieve a homogeneous, slightly frothy mixture. Now, in this first omelette, we incorporate a teaspoon of sweet paprika, which will add a hint of color and a slightly smoky flavor. We mix well to ensure the paprika is perfectly integrated into the mixture.
In the second bowl, we repeat the process: we crack four eggs again, season with salt and pepper. This time, we add finely chopped green onion and a few sprigs of fresh herbs, such as parsley or dill. These ingredients will bring a touch of freshness and flavor to the omelette. We mix well to evenly distribute the onion and herbs.
In the third bowl, we take care of the third omelette, where we again add four eggs, salt, and pepper. Here, the secret lies in 50 grams of grated cheese, which will provide a rich taste and creamy texture. We mix carefully to avoid leaving large chunks of cheese.
Now that we have all three mixtures ready, we head to the frying pan. We heat a little oil in a non-stick pan, add the paprika mixture, and fry the omelette over medium heat until it turns slightly golden. Using a spatula, we flip the omelette to the other side, using another pan where we have added a little oil. We repeat the same process for the other two mixtures.
After all the omelettes are fried, we place them on a platter, sprinkling each with a portion of the remaining cheese, which will melt slightly due to the heat. We stack the omelettes on top of each other, forming an "omelette cake." We carefully roll the omelettes, taking care not to break them, and wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and then in a towel.
Now, we let the rolled omelettes chill for at least two hours to firm up and take a nice shape. After they have cooled, we can slice them and serve them as an appetizer or snack. These rolled omelettes will surely impress with their delicious taste and attractive appearance!
