Skewers
To create a delicious and flavorful meal, I started by preparing the meat, which I marinated in a savory mixture of water, red wine, salt, pepper, and bay leaves. This helped to enhance the flavor of the meat, giving it a tender and juicy texture. Meanwhile, I peeled and diced potatoes, as well as two carrots, which I partially boiled to prepare them for roasting.
After the meat absorbed the flavors from the marinade, I began assembling the skewers. I used pieces of meat wrapped in onion, alternating with slices of sausage, bell peppers, and tomatoes. This combination not only brings a contrast of colors but also a variety of textures and flavors. I seasoned the meat with a mix of herbs, including sage, rosemary, oregano, basil, and thyme. These herbs added a Mediterranean touch to the dish, further enriching the overall flavor.
Once I finished assembling the skewers, I placed them in a tray alongside the partially boiled potatoes. I preheated the oven to 230 degrees Celsius, and when it reached the optimal temperature, I inserted the tray. While the skewers were cooking and the delicious aroma filled the kitchen, I prepared a tasty mixture to baste the meat. In a bowl, I combined olive oil, white wine, paprika, pepper, and other favorite spices, which I used to baste the meat occasionally, ensuring it remained moist and flavorful.
After about 30 minutes, the skewers were ready, perfectly browned and with an appetizing appearance. I served them at the table, and guests had the option to enjoy them in a wrap or simply on a plate, alongside the golden potatoes, which were just as delicious. This recipe not only combines simple ingredients but also creates a culinary experience that will surely be appreciated by all who taste it.
