Good! Now let's start from the beginning, namely cleaning the shrimp. First, we get rid of the little legs, and this is done very simply with a gentle motion of the hand, as they break off very easily. After removing the legs, we move on to dealing with the shrimp shells. This can be easily removed starting from the top, where the head is located. We use our fingers to gently twist the shell and detach it from the meat. It is important to be careful not to crush the meat in this process, as we want to keep the shrimp whole and juicy.

Once we have cleaned all the shrimp, we will take care of their venom, which is located in the intestine on the back. Using a small sharp knife or a toothpick, we make a slight incision on the back of the shrimp, along the dark line. Through this procedure, we will remove the intestine, ensuring that the final dish will be as tasty and healthy as possible. Once we have cleaned all the shrimp, we rinse them under a stream of cold water and let them drain in a colander.

Now that we have the shrimp ready, we can move on to preparing them. A simple and delicious recipe is to sauté them with garlic and butter. In a large pan, we heat a little olive oil and add about two cloves of finely chopped garlic. When the garlic starts to release its aroma, we add the cleaned shrimp. It is important not to overcrowd them in the pan so they brown evenly. We sauté the shrimp for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.

To intensify the flavors, we can add the juice of a lemon, a handful of chopped parsley, and a pinch of chili pepper if we like a spicier taste. These ingredients will provide a pleasant contrast to the sweetness of the shrimp. After a few minutes of cooking, we serve them warm, accompanied by a side of basmati rice or a fresh salad. This dish is not only tasty but also packed with nutrients, being an excellent source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids.

Enjoy every bite and savor the flavors of the sea!
